About Me

darren gaynor: My name is Darren Gaynor, I am a graduate from Salford University, with a BA in Graphic Design. I am a freelance Illustrator and Designer, and I take inspiration from the diversity of people and the power of stereotypes. I create characters based upon observation and, most importantly, my own stereotypical subconscious for both comical effect and political messages. Whilst at University I started a small business with my dad where we combined my understanding of design and Illustration with my dad's skills and experience in carpentry in order to transform children's bedrooms with wall art and bespoke themed furniture. I enjoy every aspect of my career, and look forward to any opportunity to work in the design industry.
